Breitling was founded in 1884 by Leon Breitling in St. Imier, Switzerland. His specialty from the start was the production of Chronographs. In 1936, most airplanes were fitted with Breitling chronographs. In the mid 90's, Breitling launched the life-saving "Emergency" model that could trigger a rescue anywhere in the world. Most recently, the partnership with Bently has really catipulted the company to great heights.
